PMO Plan Coordinator for long term Treasury project with Global Firm

Our global client, with offices in Stamford, CT is looking for a strong PMO Plan Coordinator for a long term project focused in their Treasury area on a debt and derivative simplification initiative. Treasury Overview Our client's Corporate Treasury area is responsible for global funding, cash management, and treasury services for all of the firm's worldwide operations. Program Overview They are undertaking a process and system simplification initiative for its debt & derivative processes, to drive improved controllership. This program is a cross-functional effort involving key treasury constituents and is sponsored by the CFO and CIO . The simplification will target reduction in the number of legacy systems and end user applications, elimination of non-value added & non standard processes and an increase in the existing level of process automation. A new system implementation will be undertaken to support the new processes. High Level Objectives ** Ensure all debt and derivative transactions are managed in the new transactional system ** Instruments include long term debt, swaps (interest rate/ cross-currency), FX and commodity derivatives (forwards/ options) ** Process coverage includes trade request, trade execution (capture/ confirmation/ settlement), valuation and accounting (inc. FAS 133) ** Ensure all debt and derivative related reporting and analytics are met through new reporting and analytical tool and enterprise data warehouse ** Create interfaces necessary to share data with other applications and sources/destinations ** Migrate data from legacy applications to new system ** Create a data management process to support ongoing business activities To attain these objectives, 3 project tracks have been created, supported by a centralized program office 1. Transactional Platform - design and implementation of new processes related to instrument lifecycle ** Phase 1 (Debt & Swaps), Phase 2 (FX & Commodities). 2. Reporting & Consolidation - implementing reporting and analytics solution for requirements outside the functionality of the application, for example reporting with multiple data sources 3. Data Management - conversion of data in scope from legacy applications and spreadsheets into the new platform; business data management, governance and quality assurance processes Each track team has constituents focused on different aspects of functional/ technical requirement gathering and solution implementation. PMO Plan Coordinator Responsibilities 1. Create and maintain MS project plan files for DDS Program and Tracks 2. Lead and coordinate regular status reviews of project plan tasks with track leads 3. Manage metrics, monitors project plan status, dependencies and resources 4. Understand dependencies across projects within the DDS program and how they impact overall timeline 5. Coordinate deliverable audits to verify accuracy of plan updates 6. Provide reports, data and status, as needed 7. Assist with coordination and management of DDS PMO processes Qualifications/Requirements 1. Clear thinker with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills 2. Strong analytical skills, ability to identify root cause of issues and assess impact 3. Previous experience in project management or PMO, preferably on a systems implementation 4. Familiarity with project management standards, preferably PMI 5. Project planning experience, ability to define an approach, logically group and order work, assess resource requirements and impact to work if resources change 6. Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and work in a dynamic, fast paced environment 7. Expertise in Microsoft Project 8. Ability to use other MS Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Visio 9.
