ISA Senior Associate
The successful candidates will team with people of diverse backgrounds, many with Big 4 experience, who combine their talents and experiences to provide their clients with world-class services. The responsibilities you will be given will make the most of your strengths, and challenge you to develop even further.
Key Responsibilities:
' Coordinate internal control audit work in conjunction with the financial engagement team and Information Systems Assurance team in support of our annual financial statement and SOX audits.
' Participate in teams to:
- Understand client business processes, procedures and IT environment to identify areas of risk, efficiency and potential fraud.
- Evaluate business risks for their impact to the financial statement.
- Interview appropriate client personnel to identify internal controls that mitigate the business risks and perform detail testing of these controls.
- Work with financial engagement team members to test and benchmark critical system financial reports on a variety of application packages.
- Perform computer assisted audit techniques (CAATs) of transactions via tools including IDEA. Typical procedures include, but are not limited to, testing of journal entries for potential fraudulent activity.
- Prepare audit reports on findings and recommendations in connection with the internal control audit procedures performed.
' Work with a wide range of financial application packages including PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, SAP, Lawson, Oracle Financials, and Great Plains.
' Understand and apply the audit approach and methodologies.
' Understand and use the tools and technology effectively on engagements.
' Utilize internal and external research tools to leverage efficiencies on engagements.
' Maintain relationships with the client at appropriate levels.
' Travel of up to 40%.
Experience:
Experience:
' Undergraduate degree in IS, accounting, computer science, finance or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus but not required.
' 4+ years of Information Systems and Operational Auditing
' Public accounting and internal auditing experience
' Strong background in controls and/or compliance
' Experience in performing both general IT and application control reviews
' A working knowledge of Windows, UNIX, OS400, and major accounting and ERP application software packages
' Ability to function independently and interact effectively with operational areas
' Good written and verbal communication skills
' Strong and dedicated teamwork skills
' A professional certification such as CPA, CISA, CISSP, CFE is a plus
