Manager - Information Management & Analysis Services

Based in New York, you will join our client’s team who focus on solving complex client business problems involving the acquisition, validation and analysis of data in electronic form. As a leader in the practice, you will team with data analysis professionals, other service line leaders, and industry subject matter experts throughout practices to develop a wide range of custom data analysis solutions that are customized to our client needs in Banking, Capital Markets, Asset Management, and Insurance. You will assist clients in their risk management, compliance, data quality, and decision support needs applying advanced analytic problem-solving skills on problems in areas such as SEC regulation, BASEL II data quality, trading analytics, fraud detection, and anti-money laundering. You will also play a role in shaping the operating methodologies and standards for use within the practice and will play a leadership role in our fast-growing practice.

Responsibilities:

As a Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple engagements and other related activities. You will lead teams of data analysis resources in all aspects of design and delivery of business analysis solution. The Manager is responsible for managing multiple client engagement teams at an executive level within the practice and the firm. This will involve collaboration with other members of the engagement team to plan the engagement and develop work programs, timelines, risk assessments, and other planning documents. You will work with the clients to document the business processes dependent on information technology. You will also be responsible for ensuring high quality in client service by directing daily progress of fieldwork, informing supervisors of engagement status, and managing staff performance. The specific responsibilities of managers, in coordinating other services, will vary with the size and complexity of engagements, as well as the experience of the team members assigned.

It is required that you demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex information systems/operations and IT environment trends. You will leverage these skills to identify engagement and client service issues, and communicate this information to the engagement team and client management through written correspondence and verbal presentations.

It is essential that you demonstrate strong problem solving, project management, leadership, and sales skills. You must also be able to inspire teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members, and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services.

Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess what the firm can deliver to bring value to clients. Generate new business opportunities by developing ideas and solutions to present to clients.

You will be also involved in practice management activities such as recruiting and performance reviews and supporting business development activities.
Requirements:

• A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science or related business disciplines.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with a focus on analytics and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent leadership and teamwork skills
• Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment
• Proficiency with MS Office suit and various other analytics and data mining tools (i.e., SQL, SAS, Monarch, ACL, Oracle, DB2, C++, Tableau, etc.)
• Travel requirements will vary with certain engagements.

In addition, financial services experience and a professional certification (CPA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, CIA, etc.) are desired. Non-certified hires are required to become certified within 1 year from the date of hire.
